I guess I can start documenting the process now... even though we don't break ground until next month... I'm just happy it's happening...
Let's see... where to begin, It's in a gated community, in Florida... We have a wonderful lot that backs up to a nature conservation, We're the only ones who've bought this floor plan so far, reason being is because there isn't a model in the neighborhood... we had to drive to another neighborhood a good bit away to see it... and that is where we fell in love.
I have so much more to write, but as of right now I have to get some stuff finished here at the office so I can leave here! lol

That's amazing. Congratulations. How many bedrooms, how big is it. We are going to buy a new home too sometime next year. We went looking at models this past weekend. It was very exciting.

Keya, The house is 1800 sq ft and 3 bedrooms 2.5 baths... It's a split floorplan which I love because one side of the house is ours!!! I'm going to put a sign on my door that says No Babies Allowed... haha... just kidding! I wish I could find a floorplan online, but there isn't one on the builders website... I'm hoping that they discontinue the model, then we'd be the only one in the neighborhood with it... That's wrong right?! lol
How big are you looking for? God, I love visiting models... so much fun! I told the Agents that we'd be back every week to take pictures... They said that was fine... Are you and Jason going to do a VA loan when you do purchase? Right now the rates are way lower than a regular loan, and there is a program called the Acorn Program that you should look into... I think it's pretty cool because, you both don't have to apply, only one of you do and both names are on the loan automatically because you're married... Jesus, I'm writing you a book... lol We're doing a VA and it's working out really well because it looks like our mortgage is going to be lower than what we're paying in rent right now!!! Sweet right?

I'm so excited for you! I can just imagine the thrill of knowing finally a place of your OWN. The floor plan sounds like something I'd love. Next year we plan to purchase too, when we move to NC. I CAN'T WAIT! We will definately be doing the VA loan as well and you are right on about their rates. You can't beat them.
We are going to look into the VA Loan also. My dad & step mother got that for their first house. We actually don't know how big or small we want. I guess when we go in we will feel it. I know anything will be much bigger than this apartment though. I never ever lived in a house before so this will be exciting. Keep me updated with the info.

Congrats to you and good luck with everything. House shopping is always so much fun and I miss doing it even though we've been in our house a little over 2 years now.
