Whew!

Wow... This week started off crazy... I've been training the guy that's going to be taking my place during my maternity leave and he's a really good learner... I let stuff pile up last week so I would be able to take the time and teach him at a slower pace than what we've been going... It's nuts... lol I'm just happy that he's going to be here and the guys are getting used to him now rather than later... My last day at work is Nov. 2nd and I return on Dec 17th...

OMG! My baby could be here in 4 weeks... This is insane... I'm 34 weeks pregnant and totally not ready yet... we've been so wrapped up in other things that we haven't had time... at least he'll have a place to sleep... lol

In other news, the in laws are mad that D and I won't be spending either holiday Thanksgiving nor Christmas with them... Ask me if I give a flying cow... I'm so freaking excited to be spending a holiday with my family!!!! D's excited too... He got to spend one Thanksgiving with them and had a blast, he can't wait...

Our Thanksgiving will be small... really small, D's going to cook a turkey and I'm going to make all the sides, and he'll make my favorite, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing... *mmmm* Maybe he can make those early! ;-) I think it'll be perfect, just him, I and our 2 children... besides, he may not be here next year for Thanksgiving and I want him all to myself if thats the case...

I guess that's all that's new with this week... I'll write more later!!!

Ciao,
Lori

Sounds like the house is on a good progress schedule.

We've given up spending holidays with family, we're got our own family now to make traditions with. With that said my sis is coming for thanksgiving this year and I'm psyched, we are going to feast!

The house sounds like it's coming along nicely!

Girl, forget the inlaws and go enjoy a little time with your folks! We'll be doing a quite X-mas sans the extended family and I can't wait!

Man, Lori, you're not going to be off very long with the baby, that must tear you up! :(

Good luck with the house and i agree with the girls, forget about the inlaws. Enjoy yourself!

Tania! How exciting!!! I'm looking forward to making our own traditions, sans extended family! I'm looking so forward to this Thanksgiving where it's just us :-)

Ana,
My mom is so happy, she's been calling everyday to make sure I haven't changed my mind... lol I haven't! Even though Doug's sister is now coming down for Christmas and wanted to see the baby... Oops... To bad for her not calling and just assuming we'd be around... lol

Rania! Where have you been sweetness!!!! I am disappointed I'll be going back to work so soon, but his daycare is 5 min from where I work, so trust I'll be stopping in for lunch time visits... :-) Thanks for stopping by!
