Shuttle Launch
Last night after Mr. Big and I got done cleaning, he decided we should go out on the roof and watch the shuttle launch. I gave him a WTF look but after a bit of deliberation and a couple of glasses of wine I was game...
Man, I'm so glad we decided to go ahead and climb on the roof... (crazy) and watch the launch... It was really surreal and it came right after the news of one of my favorite DJ's had passed away, which is another post in itself.
The launch lit up the sky and we stayed up there until we could no longer see the shuttle... We talked and drank more wine, it was actually quite romantic and I can't believe that I didn't want to go up there...
Mr. Big can be so sweet sometimes; and for that I'm thankful! :-)

Anyway, I'm starting to do my planning and I have no idea where to start with my little guy's party... so wish me luck. :-)

Organized...
That is what I need to be doing right now, well... not exactly right now but definitely this weekend. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to begin all I know is that this weekend I will be a cleaning, sorting, labeling, and organizing fool. Martha would be proud!
Anyway, today was a bit of a lazy day, Mr. Big came home early and we hung out with Jameson and no kids! I loved it, we made dinner, gave the babies baths and then watched The Real Housewives of ATL. That show and those women are ridiculous.
I'm now just watching my favorite channel HGTV and gathering ideas for this weekend. If you guys any organizing pointers please help a Sista out! I'm all ears :-)

After the previous post, I get this email...
Change Your Thinking
It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking..
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.
His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end.
They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation..
Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.
Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descri ptive words.
Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
0A
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed .
It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.'
Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.
< /FONT>
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.
'Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present .'

Things...
Have you ever been in a room full of people and felt completely alone? Today I feel like that.
I'm not 100%, I have a lot on my plate and sometimes, especially today I feel like a complete failure.
How many of you have these kind of days? What do you do to cope or better yet change your attitude?
I am here listening. Help me out!

Heart Broken.
I had a great day Friday and Saturday... Saturday night I became heart broken. I am completely disappointed in mankind at this time and it pains me to say that I'm not the only one.
Friday. Awesome day.
Saturday, Flea-Market and great finds, dress up with my kids and Mr. Big we go see Dora Live. Absolutely perfect, especially since J or A knew we were going. Their reactions were completely priceless. I will never ever as long as I live forget that moment in my life.
Saturday night, heading out to dinner still riding on the high of being dubbed the coolest mom EVER by Babe Girl. Phone rings. :-(
It's our Pastor informing Mr. Big and I our good friends just got taken advantage of by an asshole who thinks it's funny to ruin other people's lives. Yes. I said asshole, and I mean it.
Here's a little history. G and H, friends of ours decided they wanted to adopt a baby. Our church was thrilled for them and couldn't wait to see what God had in store for them.
So they get a call from the agency where a girl had hand-picked them to be the parents of her precious baby. She was still pregnant and since they are Christian teachers she thought the home was perfect for them.
Her requirements? Full payment of all medical bills, rent, and whatever else she needed to have a happy and healthy pregnancy... afterall she was carrying extremely precious cargo to G and H. Now, I don't know about you, but I do know that teachers aren't exactly millionaires and don't get paid nearly enough for the things they do. I wish teachers would get raises... they are doing paycuts for the teachers here which makes me angry as hell, but I'll save that for another blog post...
K. Where was I? Oh here...
So G and H agreed, paid, and we as a church helped raise money so they could be able to survive this expensive adoption and be able to be amazing parents to that baby boy! We had concerts, car washes, filled little bottles with cash, I mean you name it we did it! I was so extremely happy that we as a church stepped up to the plate and helped one of our own even in this economy. We belong to a very young church, but even so we still take ownership and love one another. We are truly apart of something bigger than ourselves and it makes me happy to call them my family!
Man, I keep getting off track... Sorry. So a few weeks ago we had a baby shower since the baby was due this past week... Had a great time, G and H got lots of fun new baby stuff and there was an excitement in the air from everyone that couldn't be explained...
Fast forward to last night. The phone call. Our Pastor said this: While this should be an exciting call letting you know G and H brought home their baby boy it is completely the opposite. The mother defrauded the agency and our family out of thousands of dollars. She had already had the baby 3 days before calling and asking for more money as if she never had the baby and was never going to give her child up in the first place. The agency found out as they had received the bill for the delivery which is how they found out.
So here we are now. Heart Broken. My heart has completely broken for G, H, and for that baby having to grow up with a mother like that. I know that everything happens for a reason but we all have been completely blindsided. I know that I will never feel the pain that G and H are experiencing but I know that we as a family hurt for them. We are angry for them, and I have cried for the past 18 or so hours straight. I can not believe this happened or that this was allowed to happen. I pray that justice is served and that woman pays for what she has done.
So this is my Sunday. Angry. Disappointed. and Sad. I'm crying now as I type this and will probably cry long after I'm finished. Please keep G and H in your prayers, keep that baby in your prayers, and if you know anyone who is going through an adoption make sure that they keep a good check on what's happeneing. I don't want anyone who I know or that may know me to go through this.
Tearfully,
Me~

Baby Sister
is gone, she's heading back to our hometown as we speak. I miss her terribly and can't wait to go and visit her in a few weeks. She's my best friend and I feel like a part of me is missing with her gone. :-(
Love you Sissy! Make it home safe and call me to fuss about other travelers as often as you want! Babe Boy and Girl will most certainly miss their TiTi Fire that you were affectionately dubbed by Babe Boy.
I truly hope the first days of your Senior year in high school are Awesome and you have just as much fun as I did!
Missing you already,

The House and A Giveaway!
Well... We only got to see one house and that was fine... It was a beautiful home, new construction, and good living space. However, there were a few things that Mr. Big and I really disliked about this one... It was right next to an extremely busy street, there was hardly any backyard and with having a Weimariner and 2 babes that would be a problem... In the kitchen, the island was a solid surface countertop but the rest of the counters would be granite... It just felt strange, and it's new construction...
I mean, I don't have anything against new construction and if we find a great home that suits our needs and is new construction we'd probably purchase it, but with that said the last 2 homes we've bought have both been brand new. We want something with character now.
Most of the homes in the neighborhood we've been looking in were built in the 1920's and 30's. Lovely traditional homes with the big porches and southern charm we're looking for... I hope we find something, we're not in a rush but Babe Girl will be starting kindergarten next year and I want her to be in a great school district. :-) My mommy side coming out.
Car shopping was uneventful, we saw a few things but nothing that caught Mr. Big's eye... so we went and had a quick dinner at one of my favorite off the beaten path restaurants, then came home. Now I'm catching up on blogs!
Speaking of catching up on blogs, I've been reading this one for a while and now this sweet lady has a business of her own! It's called Preppy Bride Design and I love it. I wish this would have been around when I was planning my wedding... I am however Matron of Honor in a few weddings coming up and I'm for sure going to get some things from her cute shop! So stop by and check out her products, be sure to tell her Hello and what you think as well! :-) PS, she's having a great giveaway so be sure and stop by her blog! :-)
Now back to reading my fave blogs and finding new ones since it's pouring down rain here. :-)

Hey...
I'm around. Better now than the last post. Life is great~! I chose to remain positive and see happiness in my life rather than be negative and live in pain.
This week has been amazing. I've done and had things happen that I never would have thought to be able to happen. Thanks Sis, your message has really helped me see things more clearer!
Stay Positive Everyone and have an Awesome Thursday! I know I will :-)
