Since being on Operation Healthy Wife, I've taken stock in when I eat and what I eat. I can tell you that I'm addicted to Oreos. I eat them the most. I am not a fan of squash, and I love broccoli. Pasta and bread are among some of the things that enter my mouth often and so is Diet Dr. Pepper. LOVE that stuff.
So why am I putting this out here? Well, to pretty much admit defeat. I am addicted to food and I needed to put this in words right here, right now. I have started to eat healthier; now only to stop eating so much... :-/
I can't under any circumstances quit Oreos though. I don't care how good Skinny Cow truffle bars are, I have to have my cookies, but I digress.
What other randomness do I have up my sleeve? Oh, I know. I coached my first and last soccer game last Saturday. My daughter was stellar, she even scored the only goal. I however, was not as fortunate. While I did keep my composure and maintained a positive attitude. I completely felt as if I had let down my team. We didn't practice nearly as much as I wanted because it was freezing here; then we get matched against a mini-Manchester United a really great team.
Long and short of it, I just wasn't prepared. Oh and to top it all off, while I was trying to coach my team during the game, one of the dad's was yelling from the sideline and telling his kid what to do; which in turn confused everyone else. Said dad had already told me he didn't know anything about soccer, never played and/or watched the freaking sport. I was beyond pissed. It was completely rude and while I already wanted the earth to open and swallow me whole at that moment, his sideline shenanigans did nothing to help the situation. So. I resigned.
Mr. Sergeant is now the new coach. He should have been coach all along. He apologized to me and felt really bad that he didn't step up sooner. I forgave him of course... and told him that he'd be an amazing coach and that I would be the best "Soccer Mom" EVER. I'm in charge of snacks and I'm good with that. :-)
Babe girl started gymnastics last week, she loved it. I loved it. We all had a great time and her coach is really cool. Like, if you weren't coaching my daughter we'd have to hang out and become best friends cool. So, we are happy with everything and look forward to seeing if gymnastics pans out for her.
Whew, hows that for a blog post. All different kinds of things typed into a box. Like that? Good, cause that's how I roll. Ha-ha!
xoxo,
Mrs. Sergeant

I'm the same way with eating. I wish I was one of those women who didn't eat when they were depressed or bored or generally blue. Oh well!
You've been one busy lady
I have the same problems with eating. May I suggest you join weight watchers? It has really helped me control my eating.. especially my emotional eating.
Don't know about the eating but I do LOVE the soccer. I coached a season for my then-9 yo. who is now 12. My problem was just getting parents to control their boys. If you see your child not following directions and disturbing the team, do something! I would. I think a lot of them just used practise time as a nice 1 hr break from their kid.
I hate to laugh but that's me on the sidelines too. I am like my parents: I am yelling all kinds of directions to my boys but hey- I played for 6+ years so I think I know what i'm talking about. hahaha
At least Janey has involved parents. that's all that matters! :)
