I never in a million years thought that bloggers would be stereotyped by looks. Do you have to look like a huge dork hovering over your laptop 24 hours a day typing away to be labeled a blogger? I didn't think so; although, now that I think about it, I may just be that huge dork typing away at my laptop all the time, not quite 24 hours though. I kid...
Anyway, this sort of thing bothered me... you know, the reaction when I speak about my blog; which isn't often, I don't know why... I just don't mention it. What is funny though is that I sometimes find myself blogging aloud. Have you ever done that? Talk about awkward. Who knows, maybe I'm the only one. LOL
I'm wondering... Would it bother you if friends find out you blog and say you aren't the type? I'm still trying to figure out what the blogging type is. I know all kinds of bloggers; black, yellow, red, white, a few purple ones, and a bunch of rainbow types. I know people blog about all kinds of things from being a mommy, a wife, a husband, a widow, a recovering drug addict, a machanic, and just life in general. Heck, I'm sure if I searched I could find a blog about peas, but I digress...
I guess I'm just a bit protective of my little piece of the web. This is where I can say what I want, when I want, and how I want. This is where all of me comes out and I share my triumphs as well as my frustrations. So, I guess I can see how I get a little overly sensitive when it comes to being critized for not being up to the blogger status quo, but no one is... And that my friends, is what makes blogging so amazing.
Off my soapbox now...

wow! great article! I love this part: I know all kinds of bloggers; black, yellow, red, white, a few purple ones, and a bunch of rainbow types.
You;ve put it great! I'm going to use it myself. Of course, I'll cite properly ;)
Hmm. I know there's that old stereotype of fat, middle-aged men living in their parents' basement in their underwear...but I thought that was just "conspiracy theory" bloggers. So, maybe take it as a compliment - you are far too cute and sociable to be glued to a computer all day! :)
Blogging is a form of therapy for me. I vented a lot especially when I was pregnant with these last 2.
Oh and I really really love the new look of your blog! I especially love the header.
Funny. I am careful with who I share my blog with too...
I will be following you. I like what you write. Don't worry about what people say. I have 9 kids and everyone tells be that I don't look old enough to have 9 kids and be a grandma. They think I am 15 years younger then I am. I guess my kids keep me young and my L'Bri skin care.
I have gotten to the point that I don't tell people things that I don't want comments on.
Take care and
look up my skincare and tell me if you would like to use it as a give away item.

HWho ever said that has no idea about how vast the blogging world is. People from all walks of life blog about everything under the sun! Your blog is one of my favorite mommy blogs and I'm not even a mommy...yet! By the way I love the new layout. It is super cute.
wow I never knew there was a blogging type either! I don't think that question actually comes from someone who blogs right? I think that someone who actually blogs would understand what it was about...I love your posts and enjoy following you..I am a new follower..and btw I LOVE your new look on your blog!!!
I get it all the time!! Or I get the "what's a blog?" They ask me why I blog. I tell them to go to my blog and find out. I hate people! ;)
