Just call me Coach!

Yep, as of Wednesday I am officially the new coach for Lil Miss's soccer team. I'm excited, nervous, and everything else! I know we're going to have fun, but I'm a tad bit competitive and I hope I can reign some of that in during the games... LOL we'll see, first game is tomorrow at 9:00 AM.

I got an award from my lovely BF over at Inspire with Charris! She's so freaking sweet and I love reading her blog daily. If you haven't been over now is your chance. Don't be shy and say hello!

Thanks Charris!

Rules
1. Post where you want to be in 10 years
2. Pass it on to 10 of your bloggy friends!

Okay, so where do I want to be in 10 years? In 10 years, Mr. Sergeant should be ready to retire from the Air Force, so we'll be gearing up for that. I should hopefully have my Ph.D in Education by then and be fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming an English Professor. I will be living in a great neighborhood, with great friends that come over and drink sweet tea on my front porch and talk about the weather and whatever else we think of. Lil Miss will be in high school by then, OMG. Babe boy would be on his way there, they would both have perfect grammar, whether they wanted to or not. LOL Life would be good, happy, fun, and all those other nice words you'd use to describe where you want your life to go.

I tag the following 10 BF's!

Congrats ladies on your award! I can't wait to hear about where you see yourselves in 10 years! :-)

Wow...

Has it really been that long since I posted? Geez. My bad. I guess life caught up with me. I turned 27 Thursday and spent most of the day in bed. I was a bit depressed, then I hopped up, got dressed and went to a play-date with some ladies I'd met the day before and they surprised me with a really cute cookie cake. I thought it was so sweet of them to do that!

Thursday night was awesome, the kids made me cards, Lil Miss wrote a song and sang it for me, I cried. It was a really good song and she sang it beautifully. Mr. Sergeant got me a couple of gifts that I can only use on myself, his orders. I really don't like spending money on me, in fact I hardly ever do. I am a a certified other people shopper. I love to shop, just for others, always have.

Last night Lil Miss and I went and got our nails done and had dinner together. It was our Mommy-Daughter time and we had a lot of fun. She also got her hair straightened, and informed me this morning that she doesn't want it curly again. Tough cookies kid! I'm washing it after this post. LOL This lady is not straightening all that hair every day. "Not I" said the cat!

I have so much more to post about; plus I received a blog award, so I'll be back later to talk about that on post version 2.0.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Mrs. Sergeant

My Humps, My Lovely.... yeah, well, you know the song.

I'm not so happy with my humps these days. I have gained a hefty 40+ pounds in the past year. Gross right, yep, I know.  Well, not anymore. I am getting rid of this crap ASAP. I weighed myself this morning and my scale screamed a nice 183.4 at me. I'm 5'6. That is not good. Not good at all.

So, from this point on I am now beginning Operation Healthy Wife. Nope, not skinny. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be healthy, and for me that number above ain't healthy. I'd like to be down to a healthy weight by our anniversary in July, so I can fit into some cute little number on our vacation. Lord knows, we'll need one by then, but that's a whole 'nother post.

Alright, wish me luck and send me some good weight loss vibes, because this lady is on a MISSION!

Raining... Will it ever stop?!

Today I have been indoors for fear of going outside and being swept away by a flash flood. It has been raining here all day, and on top of that it's cold. :-( This is something that I can not and most likely will not get use to.

Since it has been raining practically the whole time we've been here, I've not been in the best of moods, as a matter of fact I've had moments where I've been down right mean, which isn't like me at ALL. I have now figured it out, I think I'm a bit vitamin D deficient, or, just having a serious case of PMS, or pregnant. Just kidding about the pregnant part. That won't be happening around here anytime soon. Anyway, just a rant I wanted to get off my chest because I have now realized that I seriously dislike this amount of rain. Seriously!

In other happenings, we had a pretty good weekend. Saturday, we went to a cookout (if you'd call it that) and one of the many Mardi Gras parades that happens here. My house is now home to hundreds of strands of beads and other random objects that were caught during the parade. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of them without Lil Miss and Babe Boy noticing, but so far I've got nothing.

Sunday was pretty lowkey, we watched movies, and hung out here until the Barkus and Meoux parade was schedule to start, then we loaded everyone up, including our pup Jameson and made our way down to the events. It was fun until the temperature dropped 20 degrees while we were out there, so that was totally our cue to exit. LOL! After we left, we ended up going to a cute little diner about 5 minutes or so from the house. We were nervous to go there because the outside looked pretty uninviting, but the inside was cute, and the food was DELISH! Both Sergeant and I cleaned our plates, all while grinning ear to ear at each other because we'd found a gem of a spot! Now to find a church...

I'm sure I had something else to add to this post, but I can't remember what... I started it last night and didn't finish. LOL Anyway, that was a weekend recap and much to my happiness the sun is putting on a fantastic show today! HOORAY!

Now for some pictures...

Mardi Gras Krewe of Centaur Parade.... Luckily we know the guy in the back! LOL

Ballet Shoes and Cleats...

That is what I spent most of my day shopping for and still haven't found cleats that Lil Miss, Sergeant, and I can agree on. Lil Miss starts both ballet, tap, and soccer next week so I need to get on the ball to getting her and myself organized for the busyness that is about to ensue, but that's a whole 'nother post.

Anyway, while we were very frustrated by the end of our shopping excursion, we had fun getting to know more about our surroundings nonetheless. We found some darling little boutiques, plus a cupcake shop that are near our home; which in itself is awesome, but dangerous for my wallet. One was a baby boutique and while I'm not having a little one at the moment, the stuff in there was adorable beyond words, especially the maternity clothes, and get this, they were having a 40% off sale on everything in the front of the store and 20% off of everything in the back, even items on clearance! I seriously need to find someone pregnant so I can buy some baby stuff for them, like immediately. A sale like that should never go to waste, I mean NEVER EVER!

In other news, I found this beauty last night whilst browsing around the BX, something I hardly ever do, but I'm in Shreveport and was bored out of my mind... so what else is there to do besides shop, cook, and eat... That's right nothing. Okay, now behold. My Baby!

Isn't she lovely? She has a sister, I think I'm going to pick her up in the morning. She was originally $250, but was on sale for $99. Seriously, I'm in love and I can't wait to get to Germany, Canada, (where ever the hell the Air Force is sending us) to decorate and showcase these pretty babies. Mama is proud yall!

Speaking of Germany, Canada, and Hawaii... we may be going to one of these places. We find out next month and to be honest, I'm praying we go to Europe. I like Canada, and love Hawaii, but I want to go somewhere I've never ever ever been, learn a new language, live completely out of my comfort zone in a new culture, plus it would be an awesome experience for the babes, who would get to go to schools where they have to know the language, make new friends, and etc. So please pray for and keep us in your thoughts that we get a good assignment.

Okay, now I'm off to watch a movie with the Sergeant before we go to bed, we're both heading to the gym in the A.M. to continue our resolutions, his to be healthier, mine to lose the 40 pounds I've gained since January of last year. Have a great weekend everyone!

Mrs. Sergeant

PS. Tomorrow I am attempting to make Jambalaya and King Cake from scratch, wish me luck! :-)

Real Housewives Moment of the Week...

Dear Wendy's Manager named Laura,

I hope you are having a better day today than the night you had last night. I'm sorry for almost punching you in the face  yelling at you dear, but you made me and the 8 people before me extremely angry.. Just sayin.

If you can't remember me out of the 9 people that were all there, I'm the one with the devilishly handsome husband and the super adorable children, whose order you messed up royally. Remember me now? Huh?!

I can't say that I dig your management style at all. I do dig this one little saying, "The customer is always right". Did that teach you that in training? I'm sure they did, and I am almost certain that they taught you never to get into a shouting match with a customer over remaking a sandwich as well.

My dear W.M.N.L, how easy it would have been for you to just remake the sandwich instead of taking all of the correct food, throwing it away and then refusing me service. How much easier it would be for you if I hadn't called customer service right then on the spot, and then the owner of the store...  I do hope today you have a job, a little bit anyway, I'm sure in this economic climate that  anyone who's been jobless for over a year would gladly take your manager spot Laura. I'm almost certain of this.

Anyway, thanks for giving me my money back, shorting the restaurant of some food, and being an overall downright bitch terrible manager. I hope that the staff doesn't look up to you and that you take the time to re-learn the customer service policies and procedures again.

To end this letter I just want to say, you rock, I hadn't been in a screaming match like that in ages, I felt like Teresa from the Real Housewives of NJ and you were lucky I didn't throw any tables. For reals.

Have a nice day, because you deserve it, but not really.

Mrs. Sergeant.

It's Monday and the sun is shining bright...

Dear Monday,

I know for a while there we had a love/hate relationship as you are symbolic of the end of a weekend, and I know it's not your fault, for that I'm sorry. Today though, I do not have a case of you. In fact I am off to a completely great start and you dear Monday will not ruin that.

I am up and I have had a healthy breakfast, fed and clothes my babies, and I'm now ready to go kick some arse at the the gym and other awesome things today.

So, bye for now Monday. :-) See you next week.
