Wordless Wednesday ~ Date Night Miami

Hey BF's.
These pictures were taken
a night out
in Miami.
In the Art District.
We had an absolute blast
Can't wait to visit again.
We stopped at this fantastic little restaurant
after a round of art show visits.

What's funny is that the manager swore to us
the kitchen was

However, being the super awesome guy he is
Mr. Sergeant
one of the waiter to bring us
Tabouli & Pita Bread
How completely awesome was that?!
Best Tabouli I'd ever eaten in my life.
Anyway, so much for wordless eh?
To the pics!

How awesome is that graffiti?
It continued out into the courtyard & wrapped around the building

 Me enjoying my surroundings

My Handsome in posing in front of a pimped out FL panther

My martini, His Blue Moon, Our delicious late night snack!

So good it deserved 2 pictures.

 Me giving it a try

It earned Mrs. Sergeant's seal of approval! LOL Goodnight.

Tuesday's Tunes...

First I want to thank you all so much for the kind words about our announcement!
My readers are the best... Seriously, you all are!
We're excited
I'm upset with Mr. Sergeant for immediately writing off the name Harper..
but that's a whole other blog post.

This week Tuesday Tunes are dedicated to Mr. Tom Petty
Why? Because he is one of my faves and totally rocks.

It's one of my favorite meme's to do! :-)
  1. What is your must have gadget? submitted by Flying High With My Flyboy
My iPhone & My Laptop

2. How does your adulthood compare to what you imagined it would be like when you were a little kid? submitted by L to the Third
It's completely different. I was supposed to have taken over the world and made everyone my minions, but alas; I thought Military Wifedom would be more awesome. ;-)

3. What is your favorite chocolate recipe?  submitted by Our First Deployment
I don't have one yet.

4. How do you deal with military life when it gets to be to much or to hard? submitted by Combat Boots And Pointe Shoes
I write. That's what this blog is for. Getting it out here and having yall support me helps when this life gets to be too tough or too much. For that I am grateful.

5. What piece of advice would you give a new Military spouse facing their first deployment?  submitted by The Albrecht Squad
Breathe. Take life day by day, let people help you and be there for you. You're going to feel as if your whole world is crumbling down sometimes and having a support group of friends & family will be an invaluable resource.  I have more, but I have to stop typing now... I still have a migraine. Actually. I think I'll just do a post on this. Great Question!!!

I am having one

It is terrible.

I am not a nice person when I have a migraine.

Migraines Really Suck.

Let's hope I feel better soon.

For the sake of all who come in contact with me today.

That is all.

PS. There is good news. We found a house... Not just a house. A Penthouse.
(cue Jefferson's theme music)
We've got ourselves a deluxe apt in the sky!
(Yes there will be pictures)
A Lot Of Pictures!

I will be calling on my DIYers & my super cool decorating bloggy friends to help me
make my new space look super awesome...
I am going to need your help.
Happy Thursday.

At first, I was indifferent
I could take it or leave it.

After 24 hours...
I want to take it

I know...
I've been M.I.A. lately
I promise I have a good reason.

There is tons of craziness where I am right now
Lots of decisions that need to be made.
I've got lots of thinking to do...

We are safe.
It's crazy being where we are.
Am I scared? Absolutely.
I'm trusting that God will get us through this
everything will work out.
He said it would.

I just ask that you all
keep my family and the families that
are here with us
in your thoughts and prayers.

If you have a church
prayer request list.

Sometimes you just need a moment...

It’s no secret that the past week of my life
has been full of frustrating moments,
major melt-downs, and moments of complete insanity.

Moving to a new country
is not the easiest thing in
this world to do.
At least it hasn't been for me...

In the midst of being a
wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend;
Do you find that you sometimes go AWOL?
I do...

That has happened several times
to me this past week
Well, a few times before…

I can attest to putting other things ahead of me so much that sometimes
I have to take a cool-it moment.
These “Time-Outs” don’t have to last long.
They range from 5 minutes alone in total quietness
full on day at the spa
getting pampered and recharged.

In the past week none of those moments have been available to me…
So what does a good MilSpouse do?
I have learned to improvise and adapt.

I have begun to use the 30-second rule.
If I feel myself losing my self-control
And/or sanity in any given moment
I remove myself from the situation
(if applicable)
I count backwards from 30.

Most of the time
I’m able to get back to me
get on track again.

There are times that I still lose my cool,
I’m not perfect and neither is that method.
But it’s what I got so far…
I’m learning as I go.

I think the progress is in realizing
that you aren’t
That everyone deserves
A break
A break-down.
A break-through.

What are some of the ways you take
time out for you?
I need some new ideas ;-)

I'm not going to pretend...

In this moment
, I will accept the fact that I am

I will not pretend to like this place.
I will not pretend to be happy.
I will not pretend.

In this moment
I will cry.
I will hurt.
I will question what I'm doing.
And why I'm doing it.
I will not be the one to keep it together.

I'm human and I'm allowed to feel.

I know that this will pass
I will feel better.

But for right now...
In this moment
I am not the strong one
I will be vulnerable.
I will wallow in my misery.
I will get over it
I will be okay.

Just not right now.

Tuesday's Tunes...

Been listening to these 3 songs a lot...
I'm going through it over here...

Culture Shock...

I definitely have a case of it.
I'm in the worst of moods.
I miss America.
I want to come home.

I don't like this place.
I'm not a fan.
Did I mention I want to come home?

Please pray that this gets better.
I'm not a happy camper and it's really showing.

This is coming from someone who is always happy.
Me not happy = Bad Time for All.

I'm trying to keep an open mind.
Embrace the culture,
the people,
the other spouses...

I'm really trying.
I'm going to keep trying.
But I'm being honest
I want to come home.

Let's see how I feel in a few days...

PS. I haven't forgotten about the featured blog...
I'll work on that post later...
I'm pissy right now
I don't think I'd do a good job with the post.
Let's see if this valium helps.
I sure hope so...

PPS. At least the base docs are pretty cool.
